What’s the one thing that follows you closer to your heart besides romance? It is called a “bromance.” It means two people who are very close together often have a few things in common like their hobbies, interests, abilities and other small details based on friendship.
One these so called “Bromance Films” that got me laughing is “I Love You, Man.” The film stars Paul Rudd as an engaged man who’s trying to find himself a best man, for his upcoming wedding, (Anchorman, Ant-Man, Role Models) he befriends a stranger played by Jason Segal. (The Muppets 2011, How I Met Your Mother) As their friendship grows, it jeopardizes his relationship with his fiancé.
When I found out Paul Rudd is gonna reprise his role as Scott Lang/Ant-Man, for Avengers: Infinity War and a stand alone sequel to Ant-Man, I wanted to show you fellow movie goers one of his best films.
This movie doesn’t contain any SPOILERS, feel free to read this article.
Positive: The Two Leads played by Paul Rudd, Jason Segal, did a great job on their hilarious performances.
Supporting Casts features Rashida Jones, Jon Favreau, Jamie Pressley, Andy Samberg, and Thomas Lennon did good on their performances.
A surprise cameo from an iconic rock band. I will not reveal who it is.
Character Development involving Paul Rudd & Jason Segal’s characters Peter & Sydney.
Half of the duo has a home which he calls it his mancave. The inside of house has some pretty interesting relics.
The Bromantic Friendship between Peter and Sydney.
A Puggle is in the movie. By the way I’m a dog lover when it comes to Pugs.
Before Paul Rudd started in Ant-Man, Marvel actors also appear including Jon Favreau, (director of Iron Man and the 2nd film), J.K. Simmons. Another epic cameo from a living legend from the 70’s who played an iconic superhero. Bonus Points for Paul Rudd’s character named Peter as in Peter Parker, Peter Quill.
Funny Moments got me laughing out of control. Made my stomach hurt. (not in a very bad way) One the scenes involves a concert. Again, ain’t gonna tell you what band appears in this movie.
One of the main characters has a high school photo in 1993. That’s the year when I was born.
During the credits, there’s an extra scene.
Negative: One of the main characters claimed he loved The Devil Wears Prada. The film starring Meryl Streep, she’s one of the most overrated actors, a diva, she’s been in too many Oscar Bait films which is the reason why she keeps earning a lot of nominations and awards.
Product Placement or Pee Pee expose the following brands like Pepsi, Heineken, Apple, Sony.
The Final Verdict: A-
If you and your friends are looking for something to laugh your butts off, this is one of the movies I highly recommend. Make sure you take a quick sip of your drink, you don’t want to laugh while it’s in your mouth.
