Picking up where Season 2 left off, Tanjiro Kamado and his sister, Nezuko arrive at “Swordsmith Village.” Due to his previous battle, he must get a new sword. Suddenly, two power demons attack the village. Tanjiro, Nezuko and their new friends, Kanroji, Tokito & Kotetsu join forces to protect the villagers.
Demon Slayer’s third season officially streamed in 2023 on Crunchyroll earning praise from critics, fans and streamers alike. A fourth season ended the show, but that didn’t stop it from giving it a conclusion. A movie trilogy based on the Infinity Castle arc will end Tanjiro’s journey. Part One came out on July, 2025 exclusively in Japan. It was later released in America in September, 2025. Before I watched the fourth season and Infinity Castle’s first part, I wanna share my thoughts on Season 3.

Sharp & Rusty Qualities
Sharp: Voice Actors reprise their roles and they all did a superb job for their respective performances.
Animation is Class A. You can tell the animators worked their butts off polishing every single detail.
Action Sequences are awesome. Each character has their own unique breathing form techniques.
Jokes have some laugh out loud moments. Especially, the hot springs scene.
Pacing for each episode didn’t feel like a drab.
We’re introduced to new characters, Kanroji, Tokito & Kotetsu. New allies who assist Tanjiro to combat upper rank demons, Hantengu & Gyokko.
Tanjiro’s chemistry with his allies serve as the main highlight. They band together combating the two upper rank demons.
Flashbacks show the lives of the aforementioned new characters. Kanroji was interesting.
Character Development involving Genya & Muichiro. Due to Tanjiro’s influence, they begin to have a soft spot for him as an equal.
Inosuke & Zenitzu didn’t accompany Tanjiro & Nezuko to the village. The former two went on missions. Good thing Zenitzu didn’t factor in. I can’t stand him. He’s annoying as heck. I tolerate Inosuke. He’s my favorite character in the show. Reminds me of Wolverine wearing a boar mask.
Kanroji is now my second favorite character. She’s adorable and can handle a tough situation.
An individual or two acquires an upgrade.
Season Premiere introduces Infinity Castle. The main headquarters where demons reside. The powerful demons gear up to invade the village and sabotage resources under Muzan’s orders.
Season Finale will make you gasp. You probably know the outcome changes the status quo. To quote Dickie Roberts, “This is nukin’ futs!”
Muzan’s new goal sets up Season 4. Thus, the stakes have further raised.
Rusty: I couldn’t find nothing wrong. I’m giving the crew an Extra Point for making a flawless season as possible.
The Final Verdict: A, FOR APEX!
Demon Slayer’s third season is perhaps the best season within the series. I did not expect it to be flawless. Thank goodness Zenitzu was sidelined. If he factored in doing nothing but whining and yelling, I would’ve automatically subtracted a point down. I’m definitely lookin’ forward to seeing The Infinity Castle Trilogy. All I gotta do is watch Season 4 so I can get caught up.
