Tulsa King’s second season officially streamed in 2024 (same year Sabrina Carpenter’s sixth album Short n Sweet came out) on Paramount Plus. It received praise from critics and streamers alike. A third season will stream on September 21, 2025. Samuel “Sam” Jackson will star in a spin-off series titled, “NOLA King” Taylor Sheridan’s other successful series, “Landman” is getting a second season. It’ll stream this Christmas.

Rich & Poor Qualities
Rich: Sylvester “Sly” Stallone, Andrea Savage, Jay Will, Martin Starr, Dane Delany & Max Casella (Daxter from the Jak and Daxter games) reprise their roles. They all did a terrific job for their respective performances.
Newcomers such as Neal McDonough & Frank Grillo both did a decent job for their respective performances.
Taylor Sheridan, Terrence Winter & Dave Erickson mapped out all ten episodes.
Action Sequences are realistic and brutal.
Dwight’s chemistry with his allies and loved ones serve as the main highlight. I cared about them more than the cast of Amazon Prime’s “We Were Liars.” I watched it. Boring as heck.
Cinematography was shot in stable condition. This season is shot entirely on full screen as opposed to shooting scenes on widescreen in Tulsa, Oklahoma and full screen in New York.
Pacing for each episode didn’t feel like a turtle crossing a road forcing drivers to wait for it to pass by.
Set after Season 1’s finale, Dwight’s arrested. He has a trial regarding his criminal activities. His daughter, Tina posts a bail. What did you expect, a short series? He’s the main character for crying out loud. Dwight’s weed business is relocated and upgraded. He opens a casino, spends time with Tina and encounters a new enemy who owns a rival weed farm.
Neal’s character, Cal Thresher is an interesting villain.
Primary Themes are Family, Loyalty, Revenge, Power, & Teamwork. Each one’s handled maturely.
Poor: I couldn’t find nothing wrong. I’m giving the cast and crew an Extra Point for making a flawless season as possible.
Episode 10 – Back in the Saddle
Season Premiere’s title is named after an Aerosmith song.
Dwight meets a businessman named, Cal Thresher.
Dwight hires a strongman.
A funny moment with somebody giving one character a rap name.
Dwight’s crew have a dress up montage. It’s hilarious. All it needs is Meghan Trainor’s “Takin’ It Back” playing in the background. That would’ve been the icing on the cake.
Episode 11 – Kansas City Blues
Tina and her kids relocate to Tulsa. She has a bigger role than last season.
Dwight’s growing business gets a rival mob’s attention.
Jelly Roll makes a cameo appearance as himself performing at the casino. Jelly Roll’s also a fan of the show.
Episode 12 – Oklahoma v. Manfredi
Dwight practices for an upcoming trial.
Somebody receives a “package.”
Armand visits Cal chatting about his association with Dwight.
Episode 13 – Heroes and Villains
This episode’s title is named after a Beach Boys (Rest in Peace, Brian Wilson) song.
A funny moment on a rock band’s name.
Cal learns his business partner’s shady activity.
Dwight seeks to buy a business.
Episode 14 – Tilting at Windmills
Dwight sarcastically says, “Why don’t I play Annie?” I can already picture Sly wearing a red wig, red dress and singing “The Sun’ll Come Out Tomorrow.”
Dwight seeks to expand his empire. Cue, Walter White’s line, “I’m building an empire.” Outside his criminal activity, he accompanies Tina taking his grandkids to school.
Random Thought: Dwight has a legitimate point on the educational system. He doesn’t want his grandkids to be wussies. When I was a kid, I was raised in a masculine environment. In Kindergarten or first grade, (correct me if I’m wrong) before liberals invented They/Them pronouns, I learned the difference between boy and girls like a designated gender required to go to a restroom. I grew up during Cartoon Network’s golden years. Especially anime on Toonami. Plus, movies and shows such as The Lord of the Rings Trilogy, Harry Potter, X-Men, Spider-Man etc. Unlike fellow movie critic, BloggedByEric, I didn’t watch a ton of Disney Princess movies. He was raised in a feminine atmosphere. Eric’s not a big superhero fan like me and never watched a single show on Toonami. I’m surprised he didn’t turn out to be a wimp. Eric if you’re reading this, I don’t mean no disrespect. We all have different tastes.
Episode 15 – Navigator
Tyson gives his father a present.
Chickie gets into trouble.
Dwight has a meeting with his current crew and old allies from New York.
One scene pays homage to “The Godfather.” I’ll give you a hint, Michael Corleone shouts, “NO, APOLLONIA!”
A shocking moment near the end.
Episode 16 – Life Support
Dwight and his crew search for clues on a white vehicle.
In the aftermath of Episode 15, tensions rise between Dwight & Cal.
Tyson takes matter into his own hands.
Episode 17 – Under New Management
With his personal life in jeopardy, Armand loses it.
Cal’s informed about his business.
Yet another shocking moment towards the end.
Episode 18 – Triad
Somebody performs a “fatality.”
A shootout ensues.
Dwight has a discussion with his crew on their predicament.
Episode 19 – Reconstruction
Season Finale ties loose ends. Until Season 3 starts. A point of no return.
Chickie visits Dwight for something very important.
One character mentioned, “The ’90s were awesome.” It was an epic decade full of movies, TV shows, video games and music. I was born in 1993 the day “Poetic Justice” & “Conehead” came out on July 23.
Twist and turns change the trajectory of the show. I cannot tell you. You’ll have to see for yourself. In the words of Dickie Roberts, “This is nuckin futs!”
The Final Verdict: A, FOR APEX!
Tulsa King’s second season is a slight improvement of Season 1. If you haven’t got a chance to see Tulsa King, commence Season 1-2. I’m baffled the Emmys didn’t nominate Tulsa King for the upcoming Primetime Emmy Awards 2025. They snubbed it over The Last of Us’ second season. The latter’s season is based on the second game which sucks, gets an Emmy nomination for “Outstanding Drama Series” & Bella Ramsey nominated for “Outstanding Actress in a Drama Series?” They don’t realize it’s the television equivalent of eating Alyson Stoner’s vegan farts. This is why we can’t have nice things.
